Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop incident response plans and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Create executive-level security reports and threat intelligence briefings
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network security posture
- Research emerging threats and recommend defensive countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with flexible schedule requirements
