Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across the network to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Manage and maintain Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions to ensure accurate log correlation.
- Develop and update incident response plans, conducting regular drills to ensure team readiness.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA through regular audits and controls.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide security awareness training to employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GSEC is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Protection systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible work environment.
