Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and malicious activities.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and patch management to ensure system integrity.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis, root cause analysis, and incident remediation.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Perform security audits and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure coding practices and application security measures.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error and social engineering risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or similar.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity analyst role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and database security.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Clearance to work with sensitive information is required.
