Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential breaches.
- Conduct thorough investigations and incident response activities to contain and remediate security incidents.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and penetration testing support.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software lifecycle.
- Generate and present detailed security reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, specifically within a SOC environment.
- Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CySA+ certification is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with SIEM technologies (Splunk, ArcSight, or similar).
- Experience with endpoint protection tools (EDR) and next-generation firewalls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
