Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Detection: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential breaches and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents and breaches in accordance with established incident response protocols.
- Network Security: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to secure network traffic.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA through regular audits and risk assessments.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments to proactively address security weaknesses.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with the IT team to implement security policies and conduct training sessions to improve organizational security posture.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CCNA Security is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting, experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight), and knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Tools: Strong understanding of endpoint protection (EDR), firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
