Responsibilities

  • Threat Detection & Monitoring: Utilize SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to analyze logs and security alerts, identifying potential threats before they escalate.
  • Incident Response: Lead the investigation, containment, and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests, documenting findings and working with engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities.
  • Security Architecture: Assist in the design and implementation of security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensure strict adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA frameworks through documentation, policy creation, and compliance audits.
  • Collaboration: Partner with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or CCNA Security certifications are highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or a related IT role.
