Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts within our SIEM systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Enforce and update company security policies and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network architecture and data flow.
- Produce detailed security reports and maintain accurate incident documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or network security role.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, or Nessus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with flexible scheduling arrangements.
