Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and analyze alerts for potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, playbooks, and reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous research
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint security tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, encryption, and security frameworks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and under pressure during security incidents
