Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, EDR) to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS) across network infrastructure
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry standards
- Develop security awareness training programs for employees
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical issues
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 security operations coverage
