Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches, coordinating with IT teams for rapid remediation.
- Enforce organizational security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to harden systems and patch vulnerabilities proactively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or SOC analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CySA+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
