Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents and lead forensic analysis procedures
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Generate executive security reports and trend analyses
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on SOC or security operations experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Incident response experience with NIST guidelines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- El Paso residency or willingness to relocate
