Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using Nessus/Burp Suite
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze malware samples and IOCs using tools like Wireshark and IDA Pro
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises and breach simulations
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC analyst or cybersecurity operations roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Strong written communication skills for security documentation and reporting
