Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and respond to potential cyber incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and industry security standards
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security enhancements
- Provide incident response support during security breaches and cyber attacks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
