Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) for anomalous activity and security incidents
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches using tools like Wireshark and EnCase
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement vulnerability patches and hardening measures
- Generate comprehensive threat intelligence reports for executive leadership
- Manage security alerts from EDR solutions (CrowdStrike/Microsoft Defender)
- Perform penetration testing and security assessments of network infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat detection role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network traffic analysis
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations environment
