Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation measures
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and industry standards
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify anomalous behavior and potential breaches
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection and incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, encryption, and security architectures
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license (for occasional on-site requirements)
