Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk and ArcSight SIEM platforms
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement containment measures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with network engineers to implement firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security controls
- Provide security awareness training to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize security alerts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain
