Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and document detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of network assets
- Develop and refine security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Generate executive-level security metrics and threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, network protocols, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response tools (Splunk, SOAR platforms)
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
