Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks)
- Collaborate with network teams to implement security controls
- Perform threat hunting and proactive threat intelligence analysis
- Ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA frameworks
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems
- Hands-on experience with incident response methodologies (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 environment
- Valid U.S. government clearance (or ability to obtain)
