Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediation efforts
- Analyze malware and attack vectors to enhance threat intelligence capabilities
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Generate executive-level security reports and dashboards
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC or similar environment
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and container technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to security incidents 24/7
