Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and document findings
- Implement threat detection rules and optimize security controls
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement patches
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports for stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
