Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using Splunk/SIEM platforms and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic analysis on security incidents and provide detailed reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with security tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus, and Kali Linux
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM policies
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid US driver's license and ability to work on-site in Miami
