Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response investigations for security breaches and vulnerabilities
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks
- Generate executive-level security reports and threat intelligence summaries
- Coordinate with law enforcement during major security incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (CompTIA)
- Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Experience with cloud security tools (AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance (required)
