Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry regulations (NIST, FISMA)
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work in a rotating on-call schedule
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
