Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools 24/7 to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement NIST and FISMA controls
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using forensic tools
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automation tasks
