Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen our network defenses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with a focus on minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Perform regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ is highly desirable.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or incident response.
- Strong working knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
