Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and prioritize remediation efforts
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, procedures)
- Perform network traffic analysis using Wireshark and IDS/IPS systems
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening and compliance audits
- Lead incident response investigations and forensic analysis
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC/IR environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks, CIS controls, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Excellent analytical and communication skills for stakeholder reporting
