Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA standards
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Research emerging threat vectors and recommend mitigation strategies
- Lead security awareness training for employees across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
