Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and potential breaches
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response to security incidents
- Analyze threat intelligence and vulnerability data to proactively identify risks
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation support for security incidents
- Generate comprehensive security reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud environments (AWS/Azure), and operating systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Active U.S. government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
