Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection and analysis
- Conduct digital forensic investigations and incident response activities during security breaches
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and vulnerability remediation
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive-level threat assessments
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat hunting methodologies
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats under pressure
