Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect sophisticated attack patterns
- Lead incident response for security breaches including malware analysis and containment procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and compliance reports
- Collaborate with network engineers to implement zero-trust architectures and security controls
- Provide threat intelligence briefings to executive stakeholders and IT leadership
- Manage security tool integrations including EDR solutions and firewalls
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM implementation
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in threat detection methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
- Experience with incident response protocols (NIST SP 800-61)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain (for government contracts)
