Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct incident investigations, forensic analysis, and remediation for security breaches
- Develop and implement security automation scripts using Python or PowerShell
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security controls and compliance frameworks
- Document security incidents, create playbooks, and present findings to stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in log analysis and correlation
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents and maintain clear documentation
