Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts using Splunk and AlienVault
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
- Develop incident response playbooks and lead breach investigations
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement zero-trust architectures
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Train staff on security best practices and phishing simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or threat analysis roles
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Expertise in network security tools (FireMon, Palo Alto Networks)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Excellent written communication and incident documentation skills
