Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Analyze network traffic logs to detect anomalous activities and potential breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or threat intelligence
- Industry certifications (Security+, CISSP, or CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures, and threat vectors
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
