Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Sentinel) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and cyber threats
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, reports)
- Collaborate with IT teams on vulnerability assessments and patch management
- Implement network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Lead incident response coordination during security emergencies
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network protocols, and cloud security
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with flexible hours
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
