Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols for network, cloud, and endpoint systems
- Coordinate incident response activities during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Create comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
