Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Investigate security breaches, document incidents, and recommend remediation actions
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into infrastructure
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and encryption standards
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic investigation tools
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
