Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop/implement security controls and hardening procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports and documentation
- Stay current on emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and log analysis
- Proficiency with network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong understanding of Windows/Linux systems and cloud environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
