Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and initiate incident response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits across enterprise systems
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISA preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security issues clearly
