Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols for network infrastructure and cloud environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and CIS frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Research emerging cyber threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and cloud architectures
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
