Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and investigate potential cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Analyze network traffic logs using forensic tools to trace attack vectors
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security best practices across infrastructure
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis tools
- Experience with threat detection methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
- Strong knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 security standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to work flexible hours
