Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct thorough log analysis and threat hunting to identify potential vulnerabilities before exploitation.
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security devices to enforce security policies.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and log parsing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
