Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor network traffic and security systems (SIEM) to detect and respond to potential cyber threats in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure before malicious actors exploit them.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the incident response process for security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Security Architecture: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security controls.
- Compliance Reporting: Ensure adherence to internal policies and external compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.
- User Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on best practices and phishing prevention.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and common attack vectors.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
