Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, including root cause analysis and containment procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices across IT infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging threats and security trends through continuous research
- Assist in compliance initiatives including NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, firewalls, EDR solutions, and vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and security automation
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize security incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation
