Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening initiatives
- Produce executive-level security incident reports
- Stay current on emerging threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent experience
- 3+ years hands-on SOC analyst experience
- CISSP, Security+, or GIAC certification preferred
- Expertise in network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts (24/7 operations)
