Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts for threat detection
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Create detailed incident reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and adapt defense strategies accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Strong scripting abilities (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
