Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs for suspicious activities, malware, and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify potential entry points for attackers.
- Respond to security incidents and breaches in accordance with incident response plans (IRP).
- Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and strengthen overall infrastructure security.
- Generate and present security reports to stakeholders to track incident trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike) and SOAR platforms.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during active threats.
