Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive defense measures
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or analyst roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
