Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and compliance standards
- Analyze network traffic and logs to identify anomalous activities and potential risks
- Document security incidents, mitigation strategies, and preventive measures
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security monitoring platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site in Long Beach, CA
