Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation measures
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR standards
- Lead security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat detection tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and IDS/IPS systems
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
