Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document findings
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Experience with threat hunting and malware analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
